Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Raw Sugar photography
Darling baby Alec, you are already 7-months old and I am just getting around to blogging your newborn session. This Indianapolis newborn photographer is not the best at blogging. Fortunately, you were totally unforgettable and I remember everything about your session.
Alec was one of the most alert and curious newborns I have ever encountered. He wasn’t alert and fussy though, he was just alert and aware! I have never seen such a look of seemingly cognizant awareness in a baby that young. Maybe he’ll be wise beyond his years.
Alec and family were absolutely beautiful. Mom somehow looked like a supermodel just days after giving birth, big sister Perry was adorable and also quite wary of the whole photography process, and Dad seemed to be so happy to have a sweet little boy in his arms. Alec stayed awake during all of the family shots, and then fell into a restful slumber for about 30 whole minutes. We managed to get several poses before he decided he was done with the napping business.
Newborn Alec made the most expressive faces. From yawns, to surprise, to annoyance, this baby’s expression game was strong. I really hope to see if he keeps all this personality. (Hint, hint – call me.) Fortunately, Mom Lindsay and I were on the same page, and we kept the colors neutral-ish for this newborn photography session. Alec’s coloring was just beautiful, his hair was shiny with just a hint of red, and his wise eyes were the typical newborn blue-gray. He looked sweet as could be in every single set-up, but I think my favorite was baby Alec in my bamboo basket from The Original Photoblocks Props, it’s literally the perfect prop for every newborn.
Alec wraps up my 2018 newborns. Apparently, I’m a slacker of a newborn photographer. I would say I’d be better this year, but we’re already in July, so, maybe next year? I hope to see Alec and all my 2018 newborns again soon!
