It is such an honor to have repeat clients, this will be the 3rd Pickering baby I have photographed since birth. This wonderful family lives right next door to me and entrusted me to photograph their first child when I was just starting my business. Their 3rd baby boy is due in June. I’m sure there will be a bit of discrepancy in the professionalism of their photos from first child to last, but I know they’ll be treasured just the same.
Something you wouldn’t know by looking at these pictures, is that the whole family is deaf. Which not only makes my loudness less obnoxious to them, but also makes for some really sweet moments between them since they use their hands, bodies, and faces more to convey how they’re feeling. I really love watching the boys communicate with their parents, and it’s so cute when they try to sign to me, but then of course, I feel like an idiot because I don’t know what they’re saying. Ever since they moved in, I promised myself I was going to learn sign language, and then life gets in the way as it usually does, and each session I do with them, I promise myself again. Really, Shaun and Mary, hold me to it. They have been so wonderful about referring friends and family from the deaf community to me and I am truly grateful for their loyalty.
I so look forward to meeting the fifth member of this beautiful family in just a couple short months. He is sure to be surrounded by a lot of love.
