When Linnea reached out to me to book a newborn session for twins, I thought we’d be seeing her quite a bit sooner than her due date, as is pretty normal with twins. In fact, she told me her first two daughters were pretty early. So when I didn’t hear from her until right before her due date, I was surprised! I finally got to meet this brother and sister the week after Thanksgiving, and the whole adorable family they brought into my studio with them.
The twins’ older sisters are actually only three and five, so there was no telling whether or not they’d be into posing with their newest siblings. These two little girls came in with a plan! Each had picked a baby. There was no fighting. They were all smiles. They posed exactly as I asked them to. These girls were perfection.
Mom and Dad were all smiles in front of the camera and behind it. Linnea even laid down on the floor for some different poses with her babies (two weeks postpartum, she’s amazing) that I absolutely loved. Once family was done, Brett swooped the older girls away to do something more fun than sitting in the lounge waiting for the babies.
Brett and Linnea have been together 15 years, since they both attended a small Bible college on the south-side of Indianapolis. Linnea is originally from Plano, Texas, while Brett grew up here in Indianapolis. When they found out they were having twins they were completely shocked. Only later did they find out twins run in both sides of their families.
Jude and Dior were so sweet and calm during their newborn session. Jude was not in love with any pose where I put his sister too close to him. I suppose 39 weeks of being cuddled together was enough for him! Dior didn’t open her eyes once the entire session, not even when she decided it was time for lunch. Linnea and Bret sure have made four incredibly gorgeous kids!
