Ryan and Rebecca both grew up in Michigan, and met each other through mutual friends in 2006 at Central Michigan University Welcome Weekend. In November of that year they started dating, and this year will celebrate six years of marriage in July! Both enjoy being outdoors. Ryan loves camping and Rebecca loves being out on the water! They take annual trips with their group of friends to places like North Carolina, Colorado, and Michigan.
After two and a half years and two rounds of IVF, the greatest news filled with joy and relief, they were pregnant! At each milestone throughout their pregnancy they felt thankful for a healthy baby. One more hurdle would have to be crossed before baby Lincoln’s exciting arrival though, because Rebecca started having some complications at thirty-two weeks. Five weeks later her doctors decided to perform a c-section, but all was well because baby Lincoln was born 6 lbs 8 oz and completely healthy! Mom and Lincoln are both healthy and incredibly happy!
At just eight days new Ryan, Rebecca, and sweet baby boy Lincoln Reas (Reas is actually Rebecca’s maiden name, and it was a way for her last name to carry on as no male relatives will pass it on) walked into my studio! Lincoln was asleep when he arrived and I didn’t see his eyes throughout the entire session, not even when it was time for lunch!
Lincoln was so cooperative while taking pictures with his parents, I even captured one or two smiles on his precious face! We gave mom and dad a break then, and started working with props. Rebecca told me that they liked earth tones so I decided to use my grey with brown undertones rug and wrapped Lincoln up into a little sack on top. I also used my tree bark bucket with an earthy green bump and green hat, Lincoln looked like he is going to be very comfortable in nature with his parents!
After Lincoln ate he was thoroughly asleep, so I wrapped him up and he snuggled right up to my little bear lovey, his hands curled perfectly around the stuffed animal! Lincoln looked so great on a grey backdrop and was so completely peaceful that I decided to get him into a little pair of newborn pants, not a simple feat.
I was just wrapping up and Lincoln decided to stretch really big and put his arms over his head and I had to take a few more shots because he landed in the most perfect pose! I really hope I get a chance to work with Ryan, Rebecca, and Lincoln again! Here is a sneak peak into our newborn session!
