I first met Stephanie and Paul for their maternity session and just totally fell in love with them. We laughed the entire time they were in my studio. My assistant had emailed Stephanie about a week after her due date to check in on her. She emailed back saying she was overdue and “either handling it or not, depending on the day”. Stephanie let us know she’d give us a call as soon as their “tardy giraffe” made his debut. Even more than a week after her due date, Stephanie still had her sense of humor. She would need it because newborn baby Max did not come until two weeks after his due date! Poor mama!
He was certainly worth it though. This little guy was the most pliable baby I’ve ever met. And you know you’re talking to a photographer when “pliable” is a high compliment for a newborn! He barely woke up at all, never cried, and I got to do all the poses I wanted!
Stephanie and Paul met in St. Lucia where they were both traveling alone and were the only two people to show up to a “group” dinner. Paul was born in New York, but moved to England when he was two. The couple dated across the pond for a year before deciding to move in together. They are recently engaged and family is very important to them. They said the grandparents in Europe have met little Max on FaceTime and can’t wait until they can meet him in person. Stephanie and Paul love to travel, so I’m sure it won’t be too long until baby Max makes his first trip.
I can’t wait to see this little puddin’ pie again, check out a few of the many images from newborn baby boy Max’s gallery.
